SaveOnCar ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we collect from you, or that you provide, when you visit saveoncar.us or communicate with us by SMS, WhatsApp, or email, and how we collect, use, maintain, protect, and disclose that information. By using our service, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Account & contact information — name, email address, postal/delivery address, and mobile phone number.
• Vehicle & deal preferences — the make, model, trim, color, budget, target out-the-door price, trade-in, and financing preferences you provide.
• Communications — the content of messages you exchange with us and with dealers through our platform (SMS, WhatsApp, email, and in-app), including dealer quotes you forward to us as text or images.
• Payment information — when you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage & device data — basic technical data such as device type, browser, and pages viewed, used to operate and improve the service.

3. SMS & Mobile / Messaging Privacy

When you opt in to receive SMS or WhatsApp messages from SaveOnCar, we use your phone number strictly to communicate about your active car negotiations, dealer offers, and delivery updates. Message frequency varies based on your active negotiations, and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT); you will receive one final confirmation message. Reply HELP for assistance, or START to opt back in. See our Terms (SMS & WhatsApp Communications) for the authoritative description of these keywords. We do not sell, rent, or lease your mobile number or your SMS/WhatsApp consent to anyone. Messages you exchange with us over WhatsApp are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform and are also subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's own privacy practices. We use WhatsApp solely to communicate about your active deals and do not use WhatsApp data for advertising.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide the service — including negotiating vehicle pricing with dealers on your behalf;
• send you transactional updates about your deals (quotes received, price breakdowns, counter-offers, and decisions needed) by SMS, WhatsApp, or email;
• process payments for paid plans and prevent fraud;
• respond to your requests and provide customer support; and
• operate, secure, and improve the service and comply with our legal obligations.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only as follows:

• With dealers — only the deal details necessary to negotiate on your behalf. Where possible we use anonymized proxy email addresses (and, where provisioned, proxy phone numbers) so your real contact details stay private.
• With service providers — vendors who process data solely to operate our service on our instructions, including messaging providers (Twilio, Meta/WhatsApp), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), hosting (Vercel), and our database (Neon). As noted above, mobile opt-in data is never shared for these vendors' own marketing.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Your Rights).

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and opt out of messaging at any time. To opt out of SMS/WhatsApp, reply STOP (see Section 3 and our Terms for the full keyword set). To exercise any other right, contact us at support@saveoncar.us and we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above, and material changes will be posted on this page.
