The SaveOnCar Impact Report

What autonomous negotiation actually does to a car deal — in aggregate, updated daily.

Every negotiation on the platform leaves a paper trail: each dealer offer is parsed into an out-the-door price with its fee breakdown. These are the anonymized totals across all of them — no dealer names, no customer data, just what happens when dealers compete and junk fees get called out.

Average negotiated off the first offer

First parsed dealer offer vs. the best out-the-door price we reached, per deal.

$8,048
Junk fees challenged

Padded add-ons, doc-fee excess, and markups flagged across every dealer offer.

35
Dealers engaged per deal

Competing dealerships contacted for each negotiation — competition is the leverage.

Junk fees challenged per deal

Junk fees challenged per deal = total challenged ÷ deals negotiated, so the three numbers always add up.

Methodology

  • Negotiated off the first offer is the gap between the first dealer offer we parsed for a deal and the best out-the-door price reached, averaged over deals with at least two parsed offers.
  • Junk fees challenged sums every padded fee our parser flagged in a dealer offer — nitrogen tires, VIN etching, doc-fee excess, dealer add-on markups.
  • Dealers engaged counts the distinct dealerships we contacted per negotiation.
  • All figures are aggregates across the whole platform. Nothing here identifies a dealer, a customer, or an individual deal. The report regenerates daily.
  • Averages only appear once at least 3 deals qualify, and the report switches to a plain deal count instead of the full breakdown until at least 5deals have closed platform-wide — early on, a 1- or 2-deal average isn’t a reliable number to show as fact.

You pay us, not the dealer — so the only number we optimize is your out-the-door price.
